Conversion optimization for Shopify, tested against your own data
Checkout friction and product page clarity, found and fixed.
Conversion problems on Shopify tend to cluster in a handful of places: the product page, the cart, and checkout. Shipping cost surprises at checkout, a product page whose media doesn’t answer the question a buyer actually has, a cart drawer that hides how close someone is to free shipping — these are small, specific, and findable through session recordings and a careful audit far more often than they require a full redesign.
Mobile makes the same problems worse. A missing sticky add-to-cart bar, or one extra unnecessary step in checkout, costs more on a phone than on a desktop, simply because there’s less patience for friction on a smaller screen.
How it works
Process
01
Audit
Review the product-to-checkout path for friction, using session data where available.
02
Fix
Implement the highest-impact changes first — usually product page clarity, cart visibility, or checkout friction.
03
Report
Report what changed against your own conversion data, not an industry average.

Questions
Questions we get asked
Do you run A/B tests?
Where traffic supports a statistically meaningful test, yes. Below that threshold, we measure a stable before-and-after baseline instead of running a test that won’t reach significance.
What do you look at first?
Usually the product page and cart before checkout itself — checkout is heavily constrained by Shopify’s own flow, while the product page and cart have the most room for a store to differentiate.
